Title 31 Compliance
MICS Compliance
MICS Compliance
The NIGC MICS is a set of Minimum Internal Control Standards established by the National Indian Gaming Commission in order to reduce the risk of loss to tribal casino operations as a result of customer or employee access to cash and cash equivalents. The EPIC System's superior design will help bingo operators provide the strong internal controls necessary to protect the hall's assets and ensure proper accountability. The EPIC System adds an important element to your control structure by helping you implement procedures that ensure MICS compliance.

Here is a brief list of important EPIC controls:

bulletSegregation of key duties and responsibilities
bulletSignatures of both employees in all cash or cash equivalent transactions
bulletAccurate recording of all transactions for later review
bulletSupervisor approval for large cash transactions and other significant events
bulletAudit and accounting trails for management and auditor review
bulletSession reports to allow review of the performance of the bingo games
bulletReporting by employee, shift or session, day, week, or other period as desired
bulletProper documentation of promotional payouts and awards
bulletComplete accountability for all monies in use during any given session
bulletStatistics, variance, summary, detail, and other report types as needed

Additionally, The EPIC System has been awarded approval to operate in their respective states by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, and the Washington State Gambling Commission.
